I am Živilė Vaičiukynienė, an artist from Kaunas. Since the beginning of 2007, I have been actively participating in the artistic field with a main focus on oil painting and jewelry.

With my light and soft paintings, I’m seeking sensitivity in color and light with alternating forms, light and meditative themes.

The world is incredibly fragile but that is where its beauty hides. And who else can express this fragility better than a sow thistle that has already bloomed or a bubble that is going to pop? The mentioned aesthetic is common in my artwork as well as nature and the emotion of watching it. True beauty hides not in perfection but irrepeatability, experiencing and letting go of contemporary. Intuitive world outlook, shown in paintings can express silence that hides more meaning than words. It is about thinking that only precious metals open up with closed eyes, it is about a kiss that touches your inner music and it is also about wings that create love towards the world in the present.

I have developed a unique jewelry technique that has been perfected for over 10 years already. I’m creating jewelry with crochet. The journalists have named my technique “textile jewelry”. The fragile first sight of my jewelry is misleading. In fact, all of the works are long-lasting, firm and do not require a lot of care. Unfortunately, it is impossible to express the subtility and lightness of my jewelry in pictures. It is important for me as an author to perfect and create jewelry that looks the best from every perspective, not only from the front but also from the back and inside the box.

As an artist, I am open to community initiatives, I donate my works to important charity auctions, I also participated in the Kaunas 2022 project.

My works traveled to Great Britain, Norway, Sweden, Denmark. Germany, Italy, Japan, USA, Canada, Ukraina, UAE and neighbor countries.
